  1. Wetland is a permanently wet land area or 
  2. habitat. Wetlands include areas of marsh, 
  3. fen, bog, flood plain, and shallow coastal 
  4. areas. Wetlands are extremely fertile. They 
  5. provide warm, sheltered waters for 
  6. fisheries, lush vegetation for grazing 
  7. livestock, and an abundance of wildlife. 
  8. Estuaries and seaweed beds are more than 16 
  9. times as productive as the open ocean.
